Job Description

About the team: The ZF Garrett team supports packaging and light assembly of braking, electronics, and steering products for automotive service distribution. The Shipping Material Handler is responsible for shipping product according to customer specification, loading trucks, while maintaining product identification and traceability through performing accurate system transactions.

1st shift: 6:00am-2:00pm

Pay: $18.00

What you can look forward to as a Shipping Material Handler:

  • Determine freight requirements per customer specifications

  • Access and set up loads in customer transportation portals

  • Load trucks safely while maximizing space

  • Verify open pick note report

  • Print Bill of Lading, send Advanced Shipping Notification (ASN), and complete all system transactions

  • Attend shipping related calls/meetings and training as needed

  • Continuous communication with Operations, Shipping Team, Customer Service, Quality, and Carrier personnel

Your Profile as a Shipping Material Handler:

  • Forklift experience required

  • Proficient use of computers (Microsoft Office systems)

  • Ability to do general math

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform pallett breakdowns

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Drivers license preferred

  • Ability to work independently
