Whiteland, Indiana Inventory Clerk

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

We are seeking a self-starting individual to join the inventory team as a first shift Inventory Clerk. This associate is responsible for tracking current production levels, recording purchases, daily allocation of item’s, products in a warehouse and completing assigned rework of warehouse inventory. You will review purchase orders to ensure they're accurate before processing them with suppliers and checking stock status by performing physical counts on shelves and locations or in trucks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be able to work various hours including 2nd shift.
  • Stocking inventory locations and staging
  • Champion personal safety and food safety while using equipment and tools
  • Tracking incoming and outgoing products
  • Updating database with incoming and outgoing products
  • Completing product Rework as needed
  • Loading and unloading product for inbound or outbound shipment
  • Dispose of obsolete inventory as directed
  • Notify Inventory Manager with shortages and inconsistencies
  • Operate forklift or other powered industrial trucks in a safe manner according to Sugar Foods guidelines

  • Able to reconcile inventory
  • Able to read inventory lists and match the correct product with the lot code
