Job description

Radiology Physician – Champaign, IL
Assignment Type: Full-Time Preferred (Part-Time Considered)
Start Date: ASAP, Ongoing

Practice Overview:
Join a dynamic multispecialty group in Champaign, Illinois, providing comprehensive outpatient radiology services. This opportunity is ideal for a Board-Certified Diagnostic Radiologist who values a high-volume practice with flexibility in modality preferences.

Location:
Worksite: Champaign, IL
Local Attractions: University of Illinois, theater, shopping, and forest preserves
Nearest Airports: Savoy (local), Indianapolis, Chicago
Department & Team:

  • Current Department Size: 6 physicians (projected to reduce to 4 + RPA)
  • Support Staff: PACs IT on-site

Patient Population & Caseload:

  • Patient Mix: All ages
  • Average Caseload: ~100 reads/day (flexible based on modality and physician preference)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT, MR, and general diagnostic radiology scans (no biopsies required)
  • Work Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, no call required

Qualifications:

  • Board-Certified (BC) in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Illinois Medical License or IMLC
  • Prefer local or drive-in provider

Hospital Privileges:

  • Provider does not need privileges at OSF Hospital (Danville, IL)
  • Credentialing Processing Time: ~30 days (less for true locum coverage)

Technology:

  • EMR Systems: EPIC, Radiant, Clario, Powerscribe

Additional Requirements:

  • Pre-employment drug screening, mask fitting, and immunization review

Reason for Need:

  • Physician turnover and increasing patient demand
