Job description

A globally leading consumer device company based in Austin, TX is looking for Localization QA to join their team! This role is focused on localization efforts, coordinating localization QA, working with vendor testers locally and internationally, and interacting with multiple team members in the internal team.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain QA plans for localization projects
  • Support and execute QA activities within the localization lab
  • Identify, track, and resolve bugs in a timely manner
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality localized products
  • Coordinate localization efforts across up to 40 languages simultaneously
  • Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards


Key Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of Localization Workflows, Software Development, and Software QA.
  • Experience working with content management databases and localization tools.
  • Proven record of localization project management, testing and bug tracking
  • Outstanding organization and time-management skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a global team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal cross-functional communication skills and experience
  • Experience with planning, managing, and delivering multiple projects within very tight timeframe
  • High level of focus and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and prioritize key deliverables and call out blockers, as soon as they arise, to the multi-functional partners.
  • Ability to be flexible, highly organized, and respond quickly and enthusiastically to often rapidly changing direction
  • Ability to be inventive, able to handle complex situations and deadlines, have very good analytical skills, and strong aim to learn and succeed.
  • Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience in localization or QA.


Preferred Skills:

  • Competence working on the iOS, tvOS, and more platforms, and familiarity with Apple products and services is desired.
  • Experience with scripting in Python and JavaScript is desired.
  • Native-level fluency in one or more languages besides English desired.


Type: Contract
