Description:

The SKA Global Project Manager serves as a key operational leader for SKA Global by independently planning, prioritizing, and driving the execution of curriculum, product, and ministry initiatives. This role performs office and non-manual work directly related to departmental operations and is responsible for evaluating project needs, establishing execution strategies, coordinating cross-functional resources, and making sound decisions within approved parameters to ensure initiatives are completed effectively, on time, and within budget.

The Project Manager acts as a central point of coordination across creative development, ministry teams, vendors, and operational systems, exercising discretion and independent judgment in resolving workflow issues, recommending solutions to leadership, and aligning project execution with departmental objectives and KCM values.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


OPERATIONAL LEADERSHIP

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, milestones, and execution strategies for curriculum development, product launches, and global ministry initiatives.
  • Establish project priorities, accountability structures, and operating rhythms for assigned initiatives, adjusting plans as needed to meet departmental objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination among Communications, Creative, Digital, Events, and other ministry partners to align resources, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Oversee end-to-end production workflows, including writing, editing, design, digital media, and contractor deliverables, and determine appropriate escalation or corrective action when issues arise.
  • Analyze project risks, identify operational bottlenecks, and implement solutions or recommend alternatives to leadership to maintain progress and quality standards.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements, workflow standards, and operating practices that increase efficiency, accountability, and scalability across SKA Global initiatives.
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor activities, evaluate deliverables for alignment with project objectives, and resolve routine operational issues within approved guidelines.
  • Prepare project updates, risk assessments, and execution recommendations for leadership to support timely decision-making on matters affecting departmental operations.
  • Support digital and communication initiatives related to project execution and audience engagement, as needed, in alignment with ministry priorities.
  • Utilize AI-enabled production processes responsibly, apply sound judgment regarding ethical and operational use, and proactively identify tools that improve project outcomes and departmental effectiveness.

FINANCIAL

  • Track project expenses and monitor spending against approved budgets to support accurate reporting and timely completion of assigned initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain budget-related records, status updates, and supporting documentation for leadership review.
  • Review contractor and vendor invoices, purchase requests, and related documentation for completeness and alignment with approved project parameters.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely processing of project-related expenses and materials.
  • Compile financial and operational information to support leadership visibility into project timing, spending, and execution status.

LEADERSHIP

  • Provide project leadership and day-to-day direction for assigned coordinators, contributors, contractors, or support staff engaged in SKA Global initiatives.
  • Set project expectations, clarify deliverables, and monitor progress to ensure alignment with departmental priorities, quality standards, and deadlines.
  • Provide informed recommendations to leadership regarding project risks, workflow improvements, resource needs, and execution strategy.
  • Align project execution efforts with short- and long-term departmental goals and operating priorities.

MINISTRY REPRESENTATIVE

  • Represent SKA Global professionally in vendor, contributor, and partner interactions.
  • Support the ministry voice of SKA Global by coordinating content, messaging, and project flow.
  • Maintain awareness of ministry direction to ensure projects reflect KCM values.


Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, ministry leadership, or a related field required.
  • Equivalent combination of education, ministry training, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience required.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects, managing competing priorities, and exercising independent judgment in operational decision-making preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Superkid Academy brand and/or experience working SKA events.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); Canva and Planning Center experience a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of AI technologies, with ongoing engagement in emerging AI tools and practices to drive efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement through ethical use.
  • Strong organizational, project leadership, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to assess priorities, resolve problems, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in curriculum development, children’s ministry, or product development preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of digital collaboration tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to evaluate options, recommend operational solutions, and exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to project execution, workflow priorities, and resource coordination.
  • Knowledge of Donor Direct Studio Enterprise & Studio CRM preferred.
