The Light of Love Mental Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. • Establish and maintain a positive, trusting rapport with patients, leveraging effective communication and empathy.
• Conduct thorough initial assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and create comprehensive, individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Provide one-on-one therapy sessions, facilitating healthy discussions and utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to promote healing and growth.
• Lead therapeutic group sessions to engage patients in shared experiences, enhancing their coping skills and social connections.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, referring clients to specialists when additional support or services are required.
• Document all interactions and progress in electronic health records in adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Our clinic serves a diverse clientele, including individuals and families experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health disorders. As an LMFT, you will engage with clients seeking to improve their mental health, enhance family dynamics, and develop coping strategies. Your work will directly contribute to better health outcomes, empowering clients to live fulfilling, healthy lives.

• A valid and active LMFT license in New York State is required to practice and provide therapy services.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy in a clinical setting.
• Proficient understanding of various therapeutic modalities and techniques to effectively manage complex cases.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage time effectively while ensuring thorough administrative documentation.

• Experience working in a community health setting or similar environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and tools to efficiently provide virtual therapy is preferred.
• Competence in utilizing electronic health records and other relevant technology to maintain client records and documentation.
