Position: Line Cook
Location: Seattle (North Seattle)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:00am - 7:30pm
Pay: $22-26/hr. DOE
Express Employment Professionals - North Seattle is seeking a dependable and motivated Line Cook to join a busy culinary team. This position is responsible for preparing ingredients and cooking meals for meal service, and supporting daily kitchen operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a restaurant, commercial kitchen, catering operation, or retirement community dining environment. We are looking for someone who understands kitchen fundamentals, can work independently with minimal supervision, and is committed to maintaining high standards of food quality and sanitation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and properly store food and supply deliveries.
  • Assist with daily food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients.
  • Support scratch cooking operations by preparing raw ingredients for cooking and meal service.
  • Follow recipes, production schedules, and food preparation guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Assist with kitchen setup, stocking, and cleanup duties.

Qualifications
  • Experience working a cooking line.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required.
