Description *These are seasonal positions and may be scheduled at any or all of the aquatics facilities including: Paul Derda Recreation Center Broomfield Community Center Bay Aquatic Park. Responds and reacts effectively and efficiently to emergency situations. Actively assists in daily maintenance and cleaning of the pools, locker rooms, decks, and surrounding areas of the facility

Attends and participates in all training sessions. Maintains all required skills and certifications. Completes necessary paperwork including but not limited to accident reports, cleaning and maintenance logs, attendance logs and class certificates Assists with opening and closing procedures and transitions in pools.

Takes care of equipment and stores equipment properly. Takes proper safety precautions, anticipates unsafe conditions, uses all required and appropriate safety equipment. Uses PPE and follows proper protocol and procedures when cleaning up bodily fluids and other biohazard material and bloodborne pathogens.

Provides ongoing customer service. Wears and maintains appropriate uniform. Communicates, answers questions, and responds appropriately with internal and external staff, supervisors, customers, and user groups.

Lifeguard/Instructor I or II (Performs the following additional duties): Teaches swimming lessons and other aquatic programs and classes to persons of all ages and ability levels.
