Job Summary
The Foley Public Library is seeking a temporary part-time employee to assist with youth programming for our Tween and Teen demographics. This position will primarily support youth services staff in the preparation, execution, and conclusion of library events. Key responsibilities include event set-up, supervising activities and engaging with participants during programs, and handling post-event clean-up. Additionally, the ideal candidate will assist staff with brainstorming and planning future library activities. Reliability, strong organizational skills, and a positive demeanor when working with middle and high school-aged youth are required. Position hours are Monday-Thursday 2pm-7pm and Saturday from 1pm-5pm.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or its equivalent and six (6) months of experience in a job related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Successful applicants must have a valid driver's license and pass a criminal background check (including driving record) and a pre-employment physical.
This position does not allow for benefits.
