 What you get to do: 

  • Receive and process requests directly from customers (via telephone, fax and email) for price quotations, product availability, customer orders, product information, order changes, and cancellations
  • Quickly and professionally resolve customer complaints and problems
  • Understand the glass and hardware product lines
  • Read and understand drawings showing measurements of custom glass orders
  • Utilize AS400 and CR Laurence GlazierPro computer programs
  • Generate pricing quotes in a timely manner
  • Possess strong customer service skills
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers
  • Sustain a working technical knowledge of all available products
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

  • Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of this job
  • Experience in a position that deals directly with customers (front-line)
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in MS Office and proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read, interpret, & understand architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Previous sales/customer services experience in the building materials industry is helpful
  • Ability to learn computer software estimating programs to prepare estimates
  • Strong math skills; especially with fractions and decimals as a unit of measure
  • Organized, self-starter with the ability to multi-task numerous projects, phones, and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn custom door hardware applications and pricing
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective customer relationships
