HR Coordinator (temporary position with fulltime hours)

Compensation: $24-26/hr
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator for a temporary opportunity in Mishawaka. This pivotal role supports the seamless execution of Human Resources activities, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, and compliance from a candidate's initial application through their first year of employment. The HR Coordinator is essential in ensuring that HR processes are administered efficiently and effectively, maintaining high standards of compliance and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Candidate Support: Collaborate with senior recruitment staff to review applications, manage candidate communications, prepare offer and rejection letters, and maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Pre-Employment and Compliance: Facilitate background checks, assessments, and reference verifications, ensuring all pre-employment requirements are completed in a timely manner.
- Onboarding Experience: Guide new hires through pre-boarding and onboarding, coordinating orientation schedules and ensuring completion of all necessary documentation and training.
- Process Monitoring: Oversee multiple HR workflows to ensure adherence to policies and timelines, providing necessary support and education to supervisors.
- Colleague Engagement: Implement and monitor feedback programs during the first year of employment, analyzing data to identify trends and enhance the onboarding experience.
- Administrative Support: Maintain HR documentation, assist with reports and presentations, and contribute to special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of HR experience, particularly in administrative, recruiting, or onboarding roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with HRIS and ATS systems.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
