About the Position
Provides professional and administrative assistance to a City Councilmember serving a designated City ward. Manages constituent services to include handling citizen requests, addressing ward issues, researching information, and assisting with policy development. Coordinates delegated work plans, performs policy and work flow analysis, and implements Councilmember decisions. Manages public relations initiatives including working with individual constituents and groups regarding complex community issues. Organizes the Councilmember's initiatives, coordinates efforts with other City staff, and leads the work assignments of designated staff. For more information and essential functions, see our .

Position Requirements
Requirements may be met by one of the following:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Urban Studies, Planning, or a related field and two years of professional experience in public administration, policy analysis, or community development.
  • Master's Degree in Public Administration, Urban Studies, Planning, or a related field.
  • A combination of six years of college level education and progressively responsible, professional experience in public administration, policy analysis, or community development.
