Job description

Special Education Paraprofessional - Summer Session into 26/27 School Year
The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.  The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional. 

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements   
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Summer Session (June 30-August 6)
Opportunity to extend into 2026-2027 School Year


Pay Rate:

$20 / hr , pay weekly

Hours/schedule:

Summer Hours: Mon-Thurs (7:45am-2pm)
Regular School Year Hours: Mon - Fri (7:45am-2:45pm)


Qualifications/Licensure:

HS Diploma/GED Required

Typical job duties & work environment:

Working 1-1 with students that have Autism and related behavior issues. Also some other functions such as classroom prep

Specific experience required:

Previous experience with Autism
