Job description

Fit Recruiting is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Legal Assistant for a well-established and highly respected law firm in Mobile, Alabama. This individual will provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of a fast-paced legal practice. Salary is in the $42K range, depending on experience, with company benefits, growth, and advancement.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and executive support to attorneys and legal staff
  • Prepare, proofread, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and reports
  • Manage attorney calendars, appointments, deadlines, and travel arrangements
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, meetings, and court appearances
  • Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, witness materials, and document management
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Handle document production, filing, and case-related administrative tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information
  • Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience preferred
  • Litigation experience and trial preparation experience are highly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems
