Legal Biller
Kansas City, MO | Fully Onsite
Full-Time | Direct Hire| $70-75K
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established organization to identify a detail-oriented Legal Biller to join their finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely billing while partnering closely with attorneys, clients, and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Review and edit pre-bills to ensure accuracy and compliance with client-specific billing guidelines
· Generate, process, and distribute invoices on a recurring basis (monthly or as needed)
· Manage billing adjustments including time entry corrections, write-offs, and cost allocations
· Submit invoices through e-billing platforms (LEDES, Tymetrix, Serengeti, etc.) and track status
· Partner with attorneys and staff to resolve billing inquiries and ensure timely invoice approvals
· Maintain organized billing files and supporting documentation for audit and client needs
· Assist with accounts receivable, collections follow-up, and aging reports as needed
· Communicate with clients regarding billing questions, payment status, and documentation requests
· Participate in reporting, reconciliation, and special finance projects as assigned
· Maintain strict confidentiality with all clients and firm matters
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 2-5+ years of billing experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
· Strong understanding of legal billing processes and client billing guidelines
· Experience with legal billing software (Elite 3E, Aderant, or similar) and e-billing systems preferred
· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite
· High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
· Ability to prioritize in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
· Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
· Customer-service mindset with strong relationship-building abilities
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
