Job description

A major law firm is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to join its team in Atlanta. This full-time, onsite position supports a busy billing function and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle of legal billing for a high volume of matters

  • Prepare, review, and finalize client invoices using legal billing software

  • Submit and monitor e-bills, including handling rejections, edits, and appeals

  • Ensure adherence to client billing guidelines and outside counsel requirements

  • Partner with attorneys and staff to resolve billing questions and issues

Requirements

  • 3–4 years of legal billing experience in a mid-to-large law firm

  • Experience with full-cycle, high-volume billing

  • Proficiency in Excel and legal billing/e-billing systems (e.g., Aderant, Elite, or similar)

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

  • Willingness to work onsite in Atlanta and assist with occasional overtime
