Job description

What you will be doing:
  • Assist attorneys and staff with generating, editing, distributing, and finalizing legal bills through various billing formats and paperless prebill systems.
  • Support electronic billing submissions and assist in resolving billing rejections or e-billing issues.
  • Prepare billing reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation for tracking billing activity.
  • Maintain and update client billing information within the Elite Legal Billing system.
  • Ensure billing accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelines.
  • Provide administrative and billing support as assigned by the Billing Manager or Regional Office Manager.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, staff, and clients to generate, review, edit, and finalize legal bills through multiple billing formats and paperless prebill software systems.
  • Manage and troubleshoot electronic billing submissions while resolving billing discrepancies and e-billing issues.
  • Prepare detailed billing reports, analyses, and materials necessary to monitor billing activity and performance.
  • Maintain master client files and billing records within the Elite Legal Billing system.
  • Ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines and firm billing procedures.
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior billing staff when needed.
  • Perform additional billing and accounting-related duties assigned by the Billing Manager or Regional Office Manager.
Experience you will need:
  • Prior legal billing or law firm accounting experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic billing platforms and Elite Legal Billing system is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
  • Several years of legal billing experience within a law firm environment.
  • Strong understanding of e-billing platforms, legal invoicing processes, and billing compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Elite Legal Billing system preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage high-volume billing responsibilities independently.
