We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Medical Malpractice Legal Assistant to join our team and support attorneys in medical malpractice and healthcare liability matters. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organized, keeping cases moving, and being a trusted part of a collaborative law firm environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help manage case files, litigation deadlines, discovery materials, medical records, and court filings.
  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and finalize pleadings, correspondence, subpoenas, medical record requests, and status reports.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, insurers, courts, opposing counsel, experts, healthcare providers, vendors, and team members.
  • Support attorneys with depositions, mediations, hearings, trials, billing, expense reports, and other administrative needs.

Qualifications

  • Legal assistant experience, litigation experience, or related education/certification preferred.
  • Experience with medical malpractice, healthcare liability, insurance defense, or law firm support is helpful, but not required.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office, PDF tools, e-filing, document management, calendaring, and video conferencing platforms.
