Job description

A well-established boutique litigation law firm in Midtown with expertise in insurance defense and transportation is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join its growing Atlanta office. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while receiving hands-on training from a senior legal assistant transitioning into an operations leadership role. This position primarily supports 2-3 litigation paralegals and plays an important role in keeping complex litigation matters organized and moving efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and litigation support to multiple paralegals
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain electronic and paper case files
  • Draft, revise, and format legal correspondence and pleadings
  • Coordinate document production, filings, and case materials
  • Track, code, and route litigation expenses associated with cases
  • Manage calendars, deadlines, and scheduling
  • Coordinate mail, service, and other case-related logistics
  • Assist with discovery and trial preparation
  • Prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a legal assistant or litigation legal secretary preferred
  • Insurance defense litigation experience is a plus but not required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a busy litigation practice
