Job description

Our legal assistants handle tasks that are critical to the success of our law offices. As a part of our team, you'll rely on your prior experience to provide administrative support to our attorneys through preparation of legal documents and correspondences, such as motions and pleadings. Experience using an electronic case management system - while not required - will help while managing attorney calendars, scheduling and coordinating examination(s) for defense experts, and communicating with clients regarding relevant aspects of the case. Among other things, you'll spend time maintaining files, answering phone calls, along with other assigned administrative duties.
This is a hybrid remote role with occasional in office training and meetings. Candidates must reside within a reasonable driving distance of the office they support; either Irvine, Concord, or Sherman Oaks CA.
Minimum qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of one year legal work experience in a business or legal environment supporting a professional team.

Preferred skills
  • Insurance defense or personal injury experience
  • Time management and organizational skills required to provide support to a large group of professionals
  • Typing skills with special attention to grammar and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining highly confidential information
  • Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills

Compensation
  • $29.44- $38.99/hour depending on experience/location
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
