Job description

We're Hiring: Leave of Absence Manager | Salt Lake City, UT (Relocation Available)

A large, rapidly growing multi-state healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Leave of Absence Manager to lead and evolve enterprise-wide leave and accommodation programs supporting a workforce of 40,000+ employees across multiple states.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in complex, high-volume environments and brings deep expertise in multi-state leave administration, ADA accommodations, and operational process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

โ€ข Lead enterprise leave of absence and accommodation programs

โ€ข Oversee FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and state-specific leave compliance

โ€ข Partner closely with a third-party leave administrator to ensure service quality and consistency

โ€ข Drive standardization of policies, workflows, reporting, and operational processes

โ€ข Manage and develop a leave administration team

โ€ข Serve as a subject matter expert for complex leave and accommodation cases

โ€ข Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Legal, Benefits, Operations, and leadership teams

โ€ข Utilize Workday and reporting tools to improve visibility, compliance, and employee experience

What We're Looking For:

โ€ข 5+ years of progressive leave of absence administration experience in complex multi-state environments

โ€ข Strong expertise in California leave laws and West Coast compliance requirements

โ€ข Deep understanding of ADA accommodations and the interactive process

โ€ข Experience leading or mentoring a team

โ€ข Workday experience strongly preferred

โ€ข Healthcare, large hourly workforce, or other highly regulated industry experience preferred

โ€ข Strong operational mindset with the ability to improve processes at scale

Location:

This role is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates. Remote may be considered for exceptional candidates with deep enterprise leave expertise.
