This is not an administrative leasing position. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships, connecting with people, and confidently helping prospective residents choose their next home. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, an excellent follow-up professional, and someone who thrives in a customer-focused sales environment.

The Leasing Specialist serves as a visible ambassador for Atwood Management, helping drive occupancy, resident satisfaction, and property performance across our residential portfolio.

What You'll Do
  • Respond to inquiries from prospective residents and convert leads into leasing opportunities
  • Conduct apartment and property tours that effectively showcase the value of the home and community
  • Build rapport and establish trust with prospective residents
  • Utilize consultative sales techniques to guide prospects through the leasing decision process
  • Follow up consistently and professionally with prospective residents to maintain momentum and increase conversion rates
  • Create urgency, overcome objections, and confidently ask for the lease when appropriate
  • Support leasing activities including applications, lease preparation, lease execution, and renewals
  • Assist with resident retention efforts and customer experience initiatives
  • Participate in marketing, outreach, and lead generation activities
  • Help maintain strong occupancy across assigned communities
  • Work closely with Property Managers to support leasing performance and resident satisfaction goals
Who Will Succeed in This Role

This role is a strong fit for someone who:

  • Loves sales and relationship-driven conversations
  • Is confident, engaging, and personable
  • Builds trust quickly and enjoys helping people make decisions
  • Thrives on follow-up, closing, and achieving goals
  • Enjoys meeting new people and being active in the community
  • Brings professionalism, authenticity, and energy to every interaction
  • Is organized, dependable, and self-motivated
What We Offer

We believe great work deserves great support. Thatโ€™s why we offer:

Compensation:

  • $17.00-$19.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
  • Leasing bonus opportunities

Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, basic life, long-term disability, and a variety of voluntary benefit options (HSA/FSA, legal, accident, critical illness, and pet wellness).

401(k) with Company Match: Plan for your future with confidence.

Paid Time Off: Generous PTO/ESST, vacation, and holiday pay.

Professional Development: Ongoing learning opportunities and room to grow.

Team Culture: A supportive workplace guided by our core valuesโ€”innovation, collaboration, accountability, respect, and excellence.

Work-Life Balance: We respect boundaries and value your time.

Employee Recognition: We celebrate wins, big and small, and the people who make them happen.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Sales, hospitality, retail, banking, real estate, leasing, or property management experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new systems
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Schedule

The Leasing Specialist schedule is designed around when prospective residents are most available to tour and engage with our team.

Typical schedule includes:

  • Tuesday-Friday: 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
