The Dir, Learning and Development (L&D) is a strategic leader responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive learning and development programs that support PDS Health's business model. This dynamic leader is responsible for building and scaling impactful L&D initiatives through team members full career path, fostering a culture of continuous learning and a focus on achieving PDS Health's business objectives. The Director will lead a team of L&D professionals and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify learning needs, deliver engaging content, and measure the effectiveness of learning programs. Major accountabilities include developing strategic training plans that are role specific, content development, performance consulting, instructional design, and deployment of learning and development strategies.
This role is an onsite role, and can be locations at one of our support centers in Irving, TX, Irvine, CA, or Henderson, NV.
Respondsibilities
  • Partner with business unit leaders to implement solutions that support alignment with organizational vision and goals as it relates to learning and development.
  • Support SVP, People with workforce-planning efforts to effectively forecast, assess, and manage talent/people.
  • Apply consistent training/learning standards throughout the organization.
  • Ownership of Thorne Center for Excellence Edge Executive leadership program.
  • Collaborate with Regional and Support business units, to ensure a seamless recruiting, on-boarding process that meets the growing and competitive needs for national talent and effectively assimilates new team members to PDS' culture.
  • Own end to end the organization's annual APR and promotion process.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for learning and development for the organization. Assist support center, regional and business unit leaders to customize learning programs for their business needs/markets.
  • Provide coaching and thought leadership to managers on learning and development required.
  • Develop and track metrics related to progress and success of learning and development programs and communicate the value/results to the organization.
  • Take time to thoroughly understand business needs and priorities, translating them into an executable talent/people management strategy at the enterprise and business-unit level.
  • Manage the Learning and Development budget.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in Talent, Learning and Development, providing continuous improvement.
  • Ensures compliance with all policies and standards, as well as state, federal and other regulatory bodies.

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in related field of study from an accredited college or university. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience.
  • Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in Business, or Human Resources from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience and knowledge in talent, learning development and leading national teams.
  • 6+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience in strong growth entrepreneurial or founder-owned businesses.

Preferred
  • Advanced studies in instructional technology, management, organization development, or the behavioral science.
  • Training experience and/or applicable certifications.
  • Previous experience in Dental/Healthcare/Retail. Dental offices experience is especially preferred.
