WCC is currently seeking Part time Trainers who can teach Piano, Violin, Cooking, Languages, and Various Recreational Activities starting January 1.
WCC is also establishing a pool of qualified candidates to be considered when part-time and/or on-call trainers are needed to teach non-credit courses. Needs may become available prior to or during each semester. Upon successful submission of your application and resume, you will be considered for future part-time and/or on-call training opportunities on a per course basis. If a training need arises in the area in which you are qualified, you will be contacted.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Provide course instruction and demonstration in an in-person or online class setting.
โ€ข Develop learning plans and appropriate content based on participant needs.
โ€ข Communicate with multiple stakeholders including participants, community partners, and program manager.
โ€ข If teaching online, work with IT to set up and maintain professional and seamless presentation of virtual classes.
โ€ข Support the stated mission, goals, policies and regulations of WCC.
โ€ข Support and abide by the local, state and federal laws that affect the College.
โ€ข Attend a mandatory orientation session and complete online compliance training.
โ€ข Participate in Free College Day biannually.
โ€ข Must teach live in-person or online for all scheduled class sessions and respond to participant questions and feedback.
โ€ข Must complete and return all official course paperwork in a timely manner.
โ€ข Keep abreast of developments in field of specialization and/or instruction and propose new classes annually to Program Manager.
โ€ข Prepare, develop, and/or revise curricula based on WCC goals and guidelines, as needed.
โ€ข Submit required course outlines, textbooks, instructional materials, and orders for supplies in a timely manner.
โ€ข Assist in marketing the class.
โ€ข Utilize technology, including AI-enabled tools and software where appropriate, to support the effective performance of assigned duties, enhance productivity, improve communication and information management, support decision-making, and other responsibilities, while ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements, institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
Hours/Schedule:
Hours vary based on class schedule(s). The terms of employment are based on class enrollment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
โ€ข If teaching online, must be willing and able to teach virtually while maintaining the high-quality class experience that participants expect of in-person classes.
โ€ข Must have demonstrated skills or experience in instruction for adults in a variety of Lifelong Learning.
โ€ข Must have demonstrated ability to develop curriculum relating to these categories and best methods to teach these skills to multi-generational age ranges.
โ€ข Must be available to teach during various times including evenings or weekends.
โ€ข Ability to use workplace technology relevant to the position, including the capacity to learn and appropriately leverage emerging AI-supported tools. Ability to assess the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated content, maintain confidentiality, and apply sound judgment and ethical practices in the use of technology.
