Job description

The Learning & Development Analyst will contribute to the company's success by reviewing and analyzing data and reports in support of training and development initiatives across the organization. This role will work closely with leadership to ensure that these efforts are delivered by ensuring the process includes efficient operational planning, solid communication plans, and appropriate follow up steps to those requesting metrics and reports.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assess the current state of training and learning initiatives, metrics, and reporting.
Create methods to automate reporting and analysis functions for the department.
Create and structure data points to support common reporting needs for the department. Provide expertise to the department on data available for analysis in conjunction with training datapoints. Provide new reporting solutions for training effectiveness.
Provide input to analyze program metrics in meaningful ways.
Communicate with the necessary team members, departments, end users, and vendors to understand the available data for effective analysis.
Monitor results, gather feedback from end users, and visit sites, stores, and DCs as required, with the end goal of continuous improvement.
Introduce continuous improvement solutions for data driven deliverables and analysis processes.
Gather requirements and consolidate feedback from those seeking measurable data about training initiatives and their impact on business and team member success.
Maintain documentation for training related data.
Participate in collaboration with APT testing, Data Science and other teams involved in business metrics and testing processes.
Research and provide insight on internal and external learning trends and skills growth.
Assist with Excel and data related work including automation and exposure to new tools for day to day processes.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
Bachelor's degree in the area of data analysis, business analysis or a math related field
Expert level skills in Excel, SQL, Domo and other data related tools and systems
Strong analysis, research and data presentation skills
Advanced planning and problem-solving abilities with an emphasis on strong organization and precision
Working knowledge of information technology and data storage structures and processes
Desired:
Some operational experience in mass retail, warehouse, or service industry
Familiarity or experience in the auto parts industry
Experience as an enterprise-based data analyst
