Job description

The Head/Lead Instructor oversees a medium-sized team in an in-person instructional setting, focusing on academic courses such as Math, Reading, Writing, Enrichment, and Study Skills. This role involves direct daily teaching and one-to-one instruction using The Rotational Approach to Learning, emphasizing pencil-to-paper strategies without the use of screens. The Head/Lead Instructor drives curriculum development, instructional leadership, and program evaluation to enhance student engagement and academic success.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine curriculum across academic and enrichment subjects
  • Lead and supervise a team of 6-15 instructors
  • Oversee assessment processes and ensure alignment with learning goals
  • Engage directly with students through daily teaching and one-to-one instruction
  • Implement The Rotational Approach to Learning using pencil-to-paper methods
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Coordinate staff development and training initiatives
  • Manage scheduling for classes and instructional staff

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
