Community Development Administrator

Locations: Rhinelander, Rice Lake, or Marshfield, WI
Type: FullTime | Salaried | Hybrid Eligible | Flex Time Eligible

MSA is looking for a Community Development Administrator to support community improvement projects across Wisconsin and the Midwest. Youโ€™ll work closely with planners, engineers, architects, and local officials to secure and manage loan and grant funding that helps communities grow.

The work you may do

  • Prepare and administer municipal loan and grant applications
  • Coordinate funding requirements with engineers, agencies, contractors, and local leaders
  • Analyze data and support planning and infrastructure projects
  • Facilitate public engagement activities
  • Monitor wage rates and ensure funding compliance
  • Build strong relationships with municipal, county, and state partners
  • Travel occasionally within the Midwest (primarily Northern, Central, and Western WI)

What you bring


Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Public Administration, Finance, Planning, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Community and economic development experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in the application and administration of various types of funding grants requiredย 
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with ArcGIS and 3D graphic tools preferred

  • Salary range: $70,369โ€“$112,590 (commensurate with experience)
  • Flex Time: Salary employees' time over 40 hours is recognized, regardless of whether billable or not. Work 42 hours this week? Have 2 hours added to your Flex Time balance
