Position Summary: The PT Teller serves as the first point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service while accurately and efficiently processing a wide range of financial transactions. This role ensures a positive customer experience, protects bank assets, and adheres to all established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet customers and provide prompt, courteous assistance
  • Process financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, cashierโ€™s checks, gift cards, savings bond redemptions, and loan payments
  • Verify customer identities, signatures, and account information to reduce fraud risks and protect customer accounts
  • Review checks for proper endorsements, dates, sufficient funds, payee identification, issuing bank validity, and overall legality
  • Log and process night deposit envelopes in accordance with dual-control procedures
  • Assist customers with Safe Deposit Box entry (if located at the branch) and process safe deposit box rental payments
  • Respond to customer inquiries, resolve routine account issues, and escalate complex matters appropriately
  • Identify opportunities to recommend additional products or services that meet customer needs and broaden their banking relationships
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., BSA, AML, privacy laws)
  • Maintain a professional, organized and secure workspace; uphold confidentiality and security protocols
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Companyโ€™s mission, values, and customer service standards

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Customer service and cash-handling experience preferred
  • Prior banking experience preferred
