What is a kiosk sales representative?

Kiosk Sales Representatives are professionals who work at kiosks—small, stand-alone booths or stalls usually located in malls, airports, or events—where they promote and sell products or services directly to customers. Their responsibilities include engaging with potential customers, demonstrating products, answering questions, processing sales transactions, and ensuring the kiosk is well-maintained and stocked. They play a key role in driving sales, providing excellent customer service, and representing the brand or company at the point of sale.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a kiosk sales representative, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Kiosk Sales Representative, you need strong sales acumen, basic math skills, and experience in retail or customer service, often supported by a high school diploma. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and mobile payment platforms is typically required. Excellent interpersonal communication, persuasive abilities, and a positive attitude help you engage customers and close sales. These skills are crucial for driving revenue, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and efficiently handling sales transactions in a fast-paced environment.

What are some common challenges faced by kiosk sales representatives, and how can they be overcome?

Kiosk Sales Representatives often face challenges such as high foot traffic variability, limited space for product displays, and engaging customers who may be in a hurry. Building strong communication skills and adopting a proactive, friendly approach can help attract and retain customer interest. Staying organized and keeping the kiosk visually appealing also play key roles in driving sales. Additionally, collaborating with teammates to share effective sales techniques can help overcome these challenges and create a supportive work environment.

As a Liberty Mobile PR Retail Sales Representative, you will help provide the best customer experience and technology solutions from a variety of products and services offered by Liberty.

Liberty Mobile PR Part-Time Retail Kiosk Associates at My Wireless are offered a competitive rate of $12.00 per hour base pay plus commissions based on a draw system — you will earn whichever is higher between your base pay or your earned commissions. Associates also enjoy the following perks:

  • Ongoing paid training

  • Exciting career paths and growth potential

  • Uncapped commission program when meeting or exceeding sales goals

  • Paid Vacation Time

  • You will receive a welcome kit of fun gear to get you started, which includes 2 Liberty work shirts.

As a Liberty Mobile PR Retail Kiosk Associate for My Wireless, your job duties will include:

  • Approach and greet walk-by traffic proactively — in a kiosk setting there's no door, so you must create the interaction.

  • Build rapport fast since conversations are shorter than in a full store.

  • Conducting consistent cold calls to proactively generate leads, expand the customer base, and drive additional sales opportunities beyond walk-in traffic.

  • Helping Liberty wireless customers make buying decisions by delivering outstanding customer service

  • Training and developing your skills to become a top Liberty Retail Kiosk Associate, which leads to opportunities on our management team!
