The Senior Account Manager is responsible for the development and achievement of Customer Business Plans and other key business objectives across a variety of performance indicators, including Net Trade Sales, Point of Sales (POS), Brand and Customer Share Growth, Trade Investment Management and Customer Profitability.

You will achieve these objectives by developing strong relationships with Key Account (customer) and internal business partners (e.g. Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Category Management, Shopper Marketing), while leveraging data-driven decision-making, performance optimization, omnichannel execution, and strategic customer partnerships to accelerate sustainable growth. 

Responsabilités principales

  • Utiliser les analyses et les informations d’affaires afin de stimuler les ventes, optimiser le rendement des investissements commerciaux, améliorer la rentabilité, repérer les occasions de développement des catégories, accroître la disponibilité en tablette et évaluer les niveaux d’inventaire.
  • Exploiter les données, diagnostics d’affaires et indicateurs de performance afin d’identifier des occasions de croissance et d’améliorer l’exécution chez les clients.
  • Diriger la collaboration interfonctionnelle pour soutenir les activations clients, la planification promotionnelle et une exécution de qualité au détail pour les comptes attribués.
  • Gérer les investissements commerciaux affectés aux clients.
  • Préparer des prévisions mensuelles complètes et précises des ventes et des investissements commerciaux, ainsi que les estimations les plus récentes.
  • Gérer les opérations quotidiennes de l’entreprise, incluant les demandes des clients, la gestion des déductions, les demandes ponctuelles et les communications avec les partenaires internes et externes.
  • Assurer la gestion directe, le coaching et le développement d’un(e) gestionnaire de comptes.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Deliver against Business Plan KPI targets for assigned accounts, categories, and brands  
  • Develop joint value business plans with customers that reflect the strategies and objectives for assigned brands and categories  
  • Manage and negotiate key agreements with customer partners including promotion and merchandising planning, new product listing, pricing actions, Revenue Growth Management, distribution and customer trade investment management.  
  • Utilize analytics and insights to drive sales growth, improve and increase trade investment return on investment, improve profitability, identify category development opportunities, improve and accelerate on shelf availability, review and assess inventory positions.  
  • Leverage actionable insights, business diagnostics, and KPI management to identify growth opportunities and improve customer execution. 
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to support customer activation, promotion planning, and strong retail execution across assigned accounts. 
  • Manage assigned Customer Trade investment  
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate monthly Sales and Trade Investment customer forecasts and the latest estimates  
  • Manage day-to-day operation of the business including managing customer requests, deduction management, ad hoc requests, and communication with customer and internal partners.  
  • Responsible for the direct management, coaching, and development of one Account Manager.

Qualifications requises:

  • Excellente maîtrise des outils numériques, notamment Copilot, la suite Microsoft Office, les bases de données de ventes et les applications Web.
  • Aptitude à gérer les investissements commerciaux et les prévisions d’affaires.
  • Solides compétences analytiques et capacité à identifier les tendances afin de bâtir une histoire d’affaires pertinente.
  • Excellentes habiletés de négociation et leadership lors des réunions conjointes de planification d’affaires avec les clients.
  • Capacité à naviguer efficacement dans l’organisation, à l’interne comme à l’externe, en développant des relations solides et en surmontant les obstacles.
  • Capacité à travailler dans un environnement matriciel où les priorités évoluent rapidement et où la complexité est élevée.
  • Forte autonomie pour identifier les besoins et les occasions d’affaires.
  • Excellentes compétences informatiques, avec la capacité de créer, manipuler, réviser et modifier des données, documents, présentations et feuilles de calcul.
  • Une expérience auprès des pharmacies et détaillants pharmaceutiques du Québec constitue un atout.

What we are looking for  

Required Qualifications :

  • Bilingual (French and English); daily communication with Quebec-based customers will be conducted in French. 
  • A University degree is required, preferably in Business, Marketing or other related field.  
  • A minimum of 7 years professional business experience in sales, marketing, customer development, business analytics, and/or category management experience is required.  
  • Proven people management and leadership experience. 

Desired Qualifications :

  • Experience in CPG and retail is preferred. 
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively balance multiple projects/initiatives.  
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex business data.  
  • Strong digital literacy, including Copilot, MS Office Suite applications, sales database, and web applications.   
  • Ability to manage trade investment and forecasting of a business.  
  • Strong analytical skill set and the ability to pull out relevant data points to recognize trends and shape a business story.  
  • Negotiation skills and leadership during joint planning business meetings externally  
  • Ability to navigate an organization internally and externally developing relationships and moving past barriers.  
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly, and high complexity is evident.  
  • Strong ability to work independently to identify business needs and opportunities.  
  •  In-depth computer skills, with the ability to create, manipulate, revise, and modify data, documents, presentations, and spreadsheets is required  
  • Experience with Quebec pharmacy and drug retail customers is preferred.
