Job description

Amentum has an excellent opportunity for a Jr. Construction Project Manager to join our team in our Springfield VA location. The selected candidate will perform routine duties requiring knowledge of basic engineering and construction principles to manage various renovation and infrastructure upgrade projects. Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain maintain a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance. Essential Responsibilities: * Manage construction project execution of various levels of complexity * Ensure subcontractor performance meets contract, safety and security requirements * Perform market research required to create project proposal for client review * Scheduling: Assisting in developing and updating project timelines using software like MS Project * Manage project execution to ensure budget and schedule compliance * Site Inspections: Conducting walk-throughs to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality control. * Facilitate start-up and construction activities * Monitor project timelines, identify potential delays, and work with site superintendents to implement recovery plans. * Review and analyze cost reports * Documentation: Managing crucial paperwork, including RFIs (Requests for Information), Submittals, and changing orders. * Requisition and track status of required materials through all stages of procurement cycle * Responsible for obtaining approval and documentation of field and design modifications * Ensure project redlines are accomplished as appropriate. * Prepare miscellaneous reports for project management providing needed information for submittals * Ensure receipt of all necessary projects close out documentation and ensure proper updates of CMMS system records and maintenance libraries are accomplished * Review subcontractor invoices and ensure timely payment * Perform all other position-related duties as assigned Additional requirement: * Three (3) years' work-related experience in secure facility * Valid driver's license is required * Must be a U.S. Citizen * Must possess Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain maintain a Top Secret/SCI * PMP certification required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire. Salary range $85,000 - $90,000 Compensation Details:
