Job Description One Tech Engineering is searching for a Project Controls Specialist for a position located in Denver, Colorado, or Amarillo, Texas. The Project Controls Specialist will support the Wildfire Mitigation Program by managing reporting requirements associated with state and federal grants. The candidate must be a US citizen or hold a green card.
The candidate should have 5-10 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a reporting-focused finance role. Project Controls Specialist Responsibilities: Interpret grant requirements, monitor reporting deadlines, track project spending and budgets, prepare accurate financial reports, and support compliance activities to ensure grant funding is maintained and effectively utilized. Manage reporting activities, monitor cost and budget performance, organize grant documentation, and track key deliverables and deadlines.
Coordinate monthly touchpoints with the grant team and wildfire mitigation teams in Texas to review progress, reporting needs, and funding requirements. Requirements of the Project Controls Specialist: 5-10 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or related role. Bachelor's degree in Finance preferred.
Strong financial analysis background with proven reporting experience. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables and VLOOKUPs. Experience interpreting financial, contractual, or grant-related language is preferred.
Utility industry experience preferred. Grant management experience is a plus. Department of Energy (DOE) grant financial management experience is a plus.
Contract interpretation experience is a plus.
