Associate Project Controls Specialist/Project Controls Specialist
Marathon Petroleum Company's Illinois Refining Division in Robinson, IL is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to work on the Project Controls team.The Project Controls Specialist willbe responsible forproviding cost engineering services for projects being managed within the Engineeringand MaintenanceDepartments.The candidate is an active project team member providing key input and analysis to project management tofacilitatetimelydecision making. The candidate shall manage changes to the project forecast and budget, and constantlyinterface withEngineering, Maintenance, Accounting, and Project Team personnel.
Relocation isapproved for this position.
Collects progress, cost, and schedule data from projectteams and contractors. Generates standard reports,charts, and dashboards for internal and external use.
Assistsin calculating earned value metrics (CPI, SPI,etc.). Monitors andreportsproject performanceindicatorsunder supervision.Highlightstrends andperformance issues for further analysis by senior staff.
Additional Responsibilities
Monitoring actual costs against the budget, along with key metrics such as labor rates, indirect ratio, material,equipment,and operations cost.
Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
Five(5)+years heavy industrial, refining, or petrochemical project controls/management experience, or three (3) years or more of experience with a bachelor's degree
This positionworksa 4/10 schedule (10-hour days, Monday-Thursday).Availability for callouts and weekend workrequiredin support of refinery needs.Potential for travel up to 15%
