Position Title: Program Controls Analyst
Position Type: Full-time, On-Site

Description:
Waypoint’s client is seeking a Program Controls Analyst to provide direct support to senior program leadership within a mission-focused environment supporting NASA programs. This role functions in a Chief of Staff / program coordination capacity, enabling leadership effectiveness through program tracking, coordination, and executive-level communication support.
This is a junior-level position ideal for candidates looking to grow within program management, systems engineering, and federal program execution.
Responsibilities:

  • Support senior program leadership by managing priorities, actions, and communications across program activities.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level briefings, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution of program meetings, technical reviews, and leadership engagements.
  • Capture and track action items, decisions, and risks, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
  • Maintain program schedules, milestones, and deliverable tracking tools to support execution and reporting.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for briefings, reports, and deliverables.
  • Support development and maintenance of program documentation, dashboards, and status reports.
  • Assist in identifying program risks, issues, and dependencies, and support mitigation tracking efforts.
  • Ensure communications and materials align with customer expectations and mission objectives.

Required:
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Program Management, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience supporting program management, project coordination, or analytical functions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), with emphasis on executive briefing development.
  • Experience developing presentations and reports for leadership audiences.
  • Public Trust clearance (or ability to obtain).

Desired:
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Experience supporting federal government, DoD, or NASA programs.
  • Familiarity with program controls, scheduling, or risk management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
  • Exposure to systems engineering or technical program environments.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership or executive teams in a coordination or staff role.
