Job description

JOBTITLE:

Project Superintendent

SUPERVISOR:

Project Manager


WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time / Occasional prolonged hours depending on project.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Manage project schedule, subcontractors and work force on specific projects. Project Superintendent is ultimately responsible for projects being completed under budget and on schedule.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

· Highly disciplined and able to lead field staff

· Well organized and ability to show initiative

· Insure that all daily report documents for crew and subcontractors are complete and submitted daily

· Insure all invoices are coded and submitted daily

· Record quantities daily for accurate billing and assist in completing monthly billings.

· Enforce, educate, and plan according to company safety policies and procedures

· Coordinate tasks according to schedule and plans

· Produce, manage, and update project master schedules with Project Manager

· Ability to produce short interval project schedules weekly

· Monitor crew attendance and work.

· Delegate daily responsibilities and tasks

· Supervise and train project foreman/junior foreman with required duties

· Responsible for making sure that resources and equipment are adequate for tasks and delivered timely to the project.

· Ability to resolve personnel and project issues

· Report progress to management and customers

· Knowledge in all aspects of construction (earthwork, concrete, structural steel, safety)

· Coordinate, Manage, and schedule subcontractors

· It will be mandatory that Management software be used on a daily basis

· Insure all equipment on project site are fueled, greased, and any damages/repairs are reports to Shop Foreman.

· Attend weekly progress meetings.

· Will conduct employee reviews for all persons reporting directly to you

· Any additional duties or responsibilities as position/company management requires

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Understand and have a thorough knowledge of word and excel programs including Microsoft Project

· HCSS job costing and management software

· Reconcile estimated production rates with daily actual production rates in coordination with project budget and quantities

· Understanding and the ability to survey and layout

QUALIFICATIONS

· Proven experience as a construction foreman

· Act and Communicate in a professional manor and uphold the values of TLM Constructors, Inc.

· Full knowledge and understanding of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines

· Excellent organizational and leadership skills

· Ability to communicate and report effectively

· Critical Thinking abilities

· Aptitude in math

· Uphold a strong belief in Safety Culture

· Maintain ACI Concrete Finisher Certificate

· Maintain CDOT approved TCS Certification

· Maintain TECS Certificate

· Maintain a minimum of OSHA 30 Training

· First Aid and CPR

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Out of town travel is required

· Overtime as required

· Work is performed in outdoor settings, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and other debris.

· Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

· Use of Personal Protective Equipment is required.

· Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
