Location: Columbus, OH
Compensation: $75-115K base salary, depending on experience

A leading civil construction company specializing in utilities, paving, and sitework is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. This role offers a chance to work on a variety of projects that make a real impact in the community while being part of a company known for its strong reputation and family-oriented culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects including utilities, paving, grading, and site development

  • Review project plans, specifications, and proposals to determine scope and requirements

  • Solicit and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors

  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure estimates align with actual job requirements

  • Analyze historical data, unit pricing, and production rates to improve estimating accuracy

  • Assist with bid strategy, value engineering, and project handoff to operations

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of estimating and/or project management experience at a civil or sitework contractor

  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and cost structures for utility, paving, and sitework projects

  • Proficient in estimating software and Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
