Job description

Auria is looking to hire a Senior Project Financial Analyst to join the team. This role is remote for candidates located outside of the Colorado area. If located in Colorado, the role will be a hybrid-based.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
  • Act as the primary financial liaison between Program Managers and the Accounting department to ensure contract compliance and accurate reporting.

  • Financial Analysis amp; Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain Estimates-at-Completion (EACs), Estimates-to-Complete (ETCs), and burn rate analyses.

  • Perform monthly variance analysis on actual costs versus planned budgets and recommend corrective actions.

  • Prepare financial deliverables and customer reports (CDRLs) in accordance with contract requirements.

  • Project Setup amp; Maintenance:

  • Facilitate contract kick-off meetings and manage project setup in ERP systems (e.g., JAMIS Prime).

  • Maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and monitor project funding levels to prevent overruns.

  • Billing amp; Subcontractor Management:

  • Review and approve client invoices to ensure accuracy and timely submission.

  • Monitor subcontractor expenditures, track funding, and prepare monthly accruals.

  • Pricing amp; Proposals:

  • Support the development of cost estimates and price proposals for new opportunities, ensuring compliance with FAR and CAS.

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in project cost control within the federal government contracting environment.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.

  • Hands-on experience with JAMIS Prime ERP is highly preferred.

  • Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time amp; Materials (T amp;M), and Cost Plus (CPFF/CPAF).

  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
  • Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) principles.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Experience supporting DCAA/DCMA audits.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education amp; experience - and the position level. $115,000 - $130,000.
