About Lazorpoint...
Lazorpoint's core mission is to empower our clients by maximizing the potential of their technology investments, driving business growth and success. We offer a comprehensive range of IT services tailored to meet the needs of middle-market companies. Join us in the pursuit of smarter, stronger, and more efficient business solutions.

Your work as an IT Project Engineer will include several components: ย

ย  ย Consult with clients to assess requirements and recommend technically sound, business-aligned solutionsย
ย  ย Lead small project teams or serve as a senior engineer within larger project engagementsย
ย  ย Manage and deliver projects across Microsoft platforms, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, networking, storage, backup and recovery, and securityย
ย  ย Guide and mentor junior team members, sharing expertise and raising the technical bar across the teamย
ย  ย Conduct IT environment discovery and assessments for new and existing clientsย
ย  ย Lead infrastructure projects tied to mergers and acquisitions, new location buildouts, and cloud migrations (including Microsoft 365)ย
ย  ย Design and implement centralized computing solutionsย
ย  ย Architect and deploy server virtualization and data center solutionsย
ย  ย Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions that meet client business continuity requirementsย
ย  ย Travel locally to client sites as needed

Our ideal IT Project Engineer has the following qualifications:

ย  ย 5+ years of project delivery and engineering experience within a Managed Service Provider (MSP). This experience is essential, and candidates without MSP project delivery backgrounds are unlikely to be a strong fit.ย
ย  ย 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft platform (Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, etc.)ย
ย  ย Demonstrated ability to independently lead and execute IT projects from scoping through delivery.
ย  ย Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
ย  ย Internally motivated with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes independently and as part of a team.
ย  ย Organized, analytical, and comfortable managing competing project priorities.ย
ย  ย Genuine commitment to client service and client experience.

ย Preferred:ย
ย  ย Prior mid-market or IT consulting experienceย
ย  ย Solutions Architect experienceย
ย  ย Cyber security experienceย
ย  ย Technical certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Dell, VMware, CompTIA, etc.) are a plusย
ย  ย A degree in a technology or business-related field is preferredย

The target salary for this role is $90,000-$115,000 per year and will operate in a hybrid model out of the Cleveland, OH office. If you're motivated by meaningful client relationships, strategic selling, and a dynamic work environment, we want to hear from you!
