JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing technology projects that support Stevens Transport's business operations, compliance requirements, and digital transformation initiatives. This role requires a strong balance of transportation knowledge, project management expertise, and communication skills to ensure that IT solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.

Please note this position is on-site at Stevens Transport HQ in Dallas, Tx.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, including software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (Operations, Finance, Safety, HR, etc.) to gather requirements and define project scope.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to ensure proper execution and support.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure projects comply with security, regulatory, and industry best practices.
  • Drive process improvements within IT project management standards and methodologies.
  • Support management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies across the company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certification.
  • Experience in transportation management systems (TMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP), or fleet management software.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
