Job Summary:
The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead technology initiatives for complex IT projects in national security environments. The role involves managing cybersecurity projects, developing project plans, and ensuring alignment with mission requirements.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Managing complex IT and cybersecurity projects for intelligence and reconnaissance systems
โ€ข Developing project plans, schedules, and resource requirements
โ€ข Monitoring project activities and evaluating accomplishments
โ€ข Providing expert technical advice on project management matters
โ€ข Developing and interpreting policies and procedures for IT project management
โ€ข Making decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important agency IT projects
โ€ข Ensuring cybersecurity requirements are integrated throughout the project lifecycle
โ€ข Managing the implementation of security controls and risk management frameworks
โ€ข Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with mission requirements
โ€ข Overseeing the acquisition of IT systems and services in accordance with federal regulations
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข U.S. Citizenship is required
โ€ข You must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

โ€ข Minimum of 3 years of specialized experience in IT project management
โ€ข Experience with the interrelationships of multiple IT specialties
โ€ข Understanding of an organization's IT architecture
โ€ข Knowledge of new IT developments and applications
โ€ข Strong knowledge of IT security concepts, standards, and methods
โ€ข Experience with project management principles, methods, and practices, including developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting on accomplishments
โ€ข Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices as they relate to IT project management
โ€ข Experience with federal acquisition processes and regulations
Preferred:
โ€ข Highly desired: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution
โ€ข Training: Basic level CCYB 002
โ€ข Certification: Approved DoD 8140 cyber-related certification
