IT INFRASTRUCTURE SUPERVISOR 

We are seeking a knowledgeable IT Infrastructure Supervisor to work for us supporting our City of Santa Ana government client. This position reports to Santa Ana’s IT Infrastructure Manager.

You will perform professional IT duties supporting the planning, administration, and oversight of programs and activities of the City’s IT Infrastructure Services Division, including supervising technical staff who maintain the City’s computer infrastructure and support end-users.

This is a full-time contract position, expected to be one year or more, with potential to transition to a full-time City employee. Work is fully on-site in downtown Santa Ana. Open to US citizens and green card holders. Not open to personnel requiring sponsorship to work in the US.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4 years of progressively responsible experience within an IT infrastructure in a medium-to-large organization, including at least one year in a supervisor or lead capacity.
  • Highly Desirable
    • Municipal or government work experience.
    • Project management or contract administration experience.
    • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology hardware, software, telecoms, networks, applications necessary to fully support an enterprise computer network and associated computer system
    • Installation, configuration, administration, and support of computer systems, networks and associated equipment, servers, workstations, peripherals
    • Hardware and software security best practices for data security, cryptography, antivirus, end-user protections.
    • Email, VOIP, mobile, and remote access systems.
    • Pertinent federal, state, local public sector laws, codes, and regulations.
Essential Functions
  • Management support overseeing end-user devices, networks, servers, workstations, back- up/storage, security, connectivity, email, applications.
  • Assist to develop/implement Division short/long-term goals, objectives, policies, procedures, priorities.
  • Collaborate with City staff on IT infrastructure, architecture, systems, networks, training.
  • Evaluate service delivery efficiency.
  • Identify and implement system improvements.
  • Manage change control, monitor help desk ticketing processes/results.
  • Ensure data security and disaster preparedness.
  • Select, train, supervise, motivate, evaluate assigned staff, establish performance standards.
  • Ensure records management complies with laws and internal policies/procedures.
  • Represent Division, as needed, at meetings and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
