A Day in the Life
We're seeking a high-impact, well rounded Infrastructure Engineering Manager to lead the evolution of our IT infrastructure. In this role, you'll collaborate with business users, consultants, internal teams, and vendors to design and maintain resilient infrastructure systems that support our global operations. You will lead our global IT infrastructure engineering team with a focus on platform management, cloud services, security, and cross-functional leadership. This role is ideal for someone with 5-8 years of progressive technical leadership experience, deep knowledge of modern IT environments, and a proven track record of people management, vendor collaboration, and service excellence.
The compensation range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000 USD commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Ideally, this position is located in Orange County with a hybrid schedule in our Irvine, CA office.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, people-first leader who brings technical depth across, Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, server/storage infrastructure and platform engineering, with the ability to drive innovation, standardization, and business alignment.
The Infrastructure Manager's day revolves around leading a global IT team to ensure the stability, security, and performance of the organization's infrastructure. You start by reviewing system health dashboards, security alerts, and key performance metrics and collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives, such as cloud optimization, M&A integrations, or server builds while balancing people management, budgeting, and high-impact project delivery.
Reporting directly to the Director of IT Infrastructure and Operations you will lead the global IT Infrastructure Engineering team to deliver and support a reliable and cost-effective service across all support systems.
  • Establish and maintain a robust governance and operational framework to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across infrastructure functions

  • Lead the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of IT infrastructure services in alignment with corporate goals

  • Manage a high-performing global team responsible for endpoints (macOS, Windows), collaboration tools, Servers, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS solutions

  • Oversee device lifecycle management, software asset management, and endpoint security using tools like Intune, JAMF, and Microsoft AutoPilot

  • Direct cloud infrastructure operations across Azure and M365, including identity, compute, storage, and network services

  • Own and evolve endpoint and infrastructure security practices, including vulnerability management, patching, and secure workspace solutions

  • Lead infrastructure components of cross-functional projects and M&A initiatives, ensuring scalability, compliance, and integration success

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors to align technology solutions with business needs

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and operational metrics using tools like Jira, ServiceNow, or Zendesk

  • Manage infrastructure budgets, vendor contracts, and delivery partnerships to ensure service excellence and cost-effectiveness

  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to guide continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Support hiring, training, career development, and mentorship of infrastructure and end user computing teams

Specific responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
  • Managing the day-to-day operations, including, installations, upgrades, maintenance, project tasks within the IT Infrastructure team

  • Managing the IT Infrastructure staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations and monitoring performance

  • Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems and generating report to demonstrate performance

  • Testing, troubleshooting, modifying information systems and coordinating technology installations, upgrades and maintenance

  • Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary

  • Ensuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes and regulations

  • Evaluating technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures

  • Keeping up to date with advances in technology and industry best practice

  • Demonstrating a deep technical and strategic understanding of the IT Services and Operations delivered

  • Solving complex and diverse problems by continually re-evaluating new and/or conflicting factors

  • Managing internal and external communications and being the primary contact of escalation for assurance functions and the business

Your Expertise and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT or related field

  • 5-8 years of experience managing IT infrastructure in complex, global enterprise environments

  • Effective people management and leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and team development

  • Hands-on experience with:

  • Microsoft 365, Intune, JAMF, Windows/macOS endpoint management

  • Cloud platforms: Azure and/or M365 (both preferred)

  • Network technologies (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls)

  • Vulnerability management tools and practices

  • DevOps/Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform (preferred)

  • Proven experience defining KPIs, SLAs, and driving service improvement initiatives

  • Experience managing vendor relationships, support contracts, and third-party service delivery

  • Experience in ITIL processes: service performance management, issues management, service level management

  • Experience with implementing and maintaining effective data protection services, including security, backups and disaster recovery

  • Experience with hybrid environments including on-premises and cloud services

  • Strong communication/collaboration skills and ability to build and maintain productive relationships with customers, subordinates, peers and senior management

  • Ability to work under pressure and managing conflicting priorities.

Certifications Required / Strongly Preferred:
  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate or M365 Enterprise Admin

  • Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect certification

  • ITIL Foundation (preferred)

  • Security+ / CISSP / CISM (preferred)

  • Experience with SCCM / MECM in co-management scenarios.

  • Experience in environments with compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GDPR, HIPAA).

  • Exposure to Intune for Education or Frontline Worker deployment
