Job description

Sirius Staffing is seeking anIT Project Manager for a contract position. The IT Manager is akey member of the Information Technology team responsible for planning, managing, executing, and completing IT projects across multiple business units and programs.

Candidates must possess a passport for occasional travel throughout the US and Canada.

Must be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship now and/or in the future.

This role partners with senior leadership, customers, IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, resources, budgets, risks, and project quality. The Project Manager will also coach and guide the ExamWorks team in Agile principles and support alignment to an Agile-focused platform development approach.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration, Planning, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • At least 3 (three) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Agile Coach experience or certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma is not required.
  • Strong leadership, assertiveness, confidence, professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Advanced troubleshooting, analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong writing proficiency, visual design skills, and working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and internet software.
  • Ability to work independently; prioritize work; manage time, change, delays, unexpected events, and calculated risks; and perform effectively under pressure, stressful conditions, and normal or heavy distractions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing targets and multiple workstream leaders.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with IT employees, customers, vendors, leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide clear, consistent direction and explain technical concepts in user-friendly language to nontechnical staff and customers.
  • Ability to analyze complex, interrelated issues; gather information; and apply complex concepts or methods to develop effective solutions.

  • Define responsibilities for customers, management, IT leadership, project teams, vendors, and other affected parties.
  • Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies; facilitate solutions with customers and senior leadership.
  • Manage vendor relationships and accountability for cost control and timely delivery of products and services.
  • Negotiate, purchase, and control assets, equipment, and product licensing.
  • Develop and manage mutually agreed-upon annual project budgets.
  • Establish clear, reliable sources for RAID items, meeting notes, meeting schedules, and other project artifacts.
  • Document system-integration opportunities needed to fulfill project requirements.
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships between customers and project team members.
  • Coach and guide the ExamWorks team to increase comfort with Agile principles and an Agile-focused platform development approach.
  • Represent the Service Desk on the Change Advisory Board.
  • Maintain confidentiality of applicant, client, and company proprietary information.
Communication Requirements
  • Clearly communicate in English.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret common correspondence and legal documents.
  • Write clearly and informatively; edit work for appropriate spelling and grammar.
  • Respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community.
  • Present information effectively in one-on-one meetings, small groups, and to senior leadership, clients, and vendors.
Physical and Work Requirements

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.

  • Primarily office-based work, with possible travel to business units, community events, and remote office locations in the United States and Canada two to four times per year.
  • Ability to work at a desk or similar office furnishings for up to eight hours per day, or longer as business needs require.
  • Ability to operate a computer for up to four hours at a time; move throughout the office; and travel to different office floors or other locations.
  • Occasional air travel, including one or more overnight stays.
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 10 pounds; push/pull up to 25 pounds; and bend, squat, or twist.
  • Availability for any shift assignment, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed or to support maintenance outside normal business hours.
  • Work environment is generally moderately noisy, though noise may increase during off-site office functions or travel.
Note on methodology requirements: Lean Six Sigma is not required. The role does require a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
