Job description

Summary of Purpose:
This role is responsible for having an understanding of INPO's core business ensuring INPO's business strategy and objectives are supported through the use of technology. This role in partnership with the business will identify ways technology can solve current and future business needs of the Institute. With the understanding of business architecture and business relationship management, the technology partner will act as an advocate on behalf of business stakeholders to ensure IT assets and services effectively meets the business priorities and needs of the Institute.
Essential Functions
  • Understands business strategy, including the technology strategy, to ensure technology assets and services to support organizational operations and strategies in achieving the company's mission
  • Develops strong cross-functional relationships with members of the leadership team to understand core business processes, strategic objectives, challenges, and current and future opportunities
  • Understands assigned application portfolio and its ability to support the business processes and strategic goals to determine investment strategies, addressing risks, and roadmaps
  • Coordinates, identifies, recommends, and supports the implementation of new opportunities for connecting IT solutions to business problems utilizing knowledge of INPO, the nuclear industry, and the IT strategy and portfolio
  • Conducts IT assessments to develop technology case studies and business cases that provide advice to stakeholders regarding technology investments, implementation plans, risks, and impacts
  • Oversees vendor management, including contract negotiation, renewals, cost and risk analyses, and third-party development of IT solutions to ensure business needs are met
  • Communicates complex or highly technical issues and solutions to ensure understanding across IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure business needs are met during implementation and execution
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education, Licenses, and Certifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, project management, business, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Certifications in Business Architecture, Business Relationship Management, Business Analysis, Portfolio, Program and Project Management, and Vendor Management

Experience
Required
  • Five or more years of professional work experience
  • Three or more years of experience in project management, business architecture, business relationship management, enterprise transformation efforts, or business analysis

Preferred
  • Three or more years of experience working in the nuclear industry, preferably in IT, project management, or change management
  • Three or more years of experience with the full-cycle management of vendor relationships
  • Three or more years of experience championing organizational change, e.g., leading initiatives, products, services, or interactions within technology area
  • Three or more years of experience in technology and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
