Description:

Our growing team is seeking a highly driven individual, with a strong commercial construction background, to assist with commercial construction Project Management and Operations Team’s needs. Position will require travel 2-3 days a week to various job sites through the Southeast and mid-Atlantic, and reporting to our Kinston office daily from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM when not traveling. This position reports to a Project Manager.


Qualifications:

  • Possess the ability to read blueprints and a keen eye for revisions within plan sets
  • Ability to create accurate and timely material takeoffs from the blueprints
  • Ability to provide accurate field measurements and verify the accuracy of Subcontractor scopes, including grades
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Sage 100CE experience preferred
  • Buildertrend experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Coordinate project changes with Subtrades in adherence with company SOPs


Requirements:

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate project changes with Sub trades, adhering to company SOPs, and facilitating the Sub and Owner change orders
  • Obtain pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Cultivating and enhancing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Updating schedules daily, and ensuring the field communicates changes
  • Reviewing field daily logs daily
  • Invoice review and cost coding
  • Familiarity with the permitting process and pulling permits as needed
  • Setting up utility accounts and ensuring field staff’s communication with the proper utility contacts
  • Assisting with job site rentals and lodging for field staff
  • Coordinating Warranty and Service Work with head of Operations Dept.
