Description

PetWow is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Inventory Assistant to support our veterinary hospitals and mobile operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our clinical teams have the medications, supplies, and inventory they need to care for pets efficiently and safely.

This position involves inventory pulling, stocking, organization, order preparation, and driving between locations. The ideal candidate enjoys staying busy, thrives on organization, and takes pride in accuracy and consistency.

This is a part-time position working approximately 3 days per week, generally Monday and Thursday with one additional flexible weekday depending on delivery schedules and inventory needs. Typical hours are approximately 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Create and prepare inventory sales orders for veterinary departments.
  • Pull inventory and prepare deliveries from the Inventory Hub.
  • Transport inventory and supplies between PetWow locations.
  • Restock hospital departments accurately and efficiently.
  • Log and track controlled substances using inventory software systems.
  • Assist with monthly inventory orders and delivery put-away.
  • Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Assist with mobile office restocking and in-house medication preparation.
  • Maintain clean, organized inventory and storage spaces.
  • Follow proper product rotation procedures and inventory handling standards.
  • Support overall operational efficiency across multiple departments and locations.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated throughout the day.
  • Comfortable driving between locations and loading/unloading supplies.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy loads repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.
  • Prior veterinary, inventory, warehouse, or medical supply experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort learning inventory software systems.
