Responsibilities

The Inventory Control (“IC”) Analyst is the analytical and operational engine of the IC team. A role built for someone who can move fluidly between data, process, and people. Owning a dedicated temp zone within the DC, this role is responsible for driving inventory accuracy through root cause analysis, guiding the daily workflow of cycle counting staff, and delivering data-backed solutions to complex operational problems. The IC Analyst serves as a cross-functional partner to DC department leadership, translating inventory findings into actionable insight. This role requires someone who leads with curiosity, communicates with precision, and holds themselves accountable to continuous improvement across the operation.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, related field, or demonstrated work experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related analytical role within a distribution center environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and communicate findings in a structured, data-driven format to operations or senior leadership.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory adjustment processes including Recall, DAP, UDR, VFR, Salvage, and Donations.
  • Proficiency with WMS platforms; NTS experience strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience owning a dedicated inventory or workflow area within a high-volume DC.
  • Familiarity with reporting / data querying (Excel, Power BI, SQL, etc.) and MS Office.
  • Ability to build and interpret inventory trend analysis.
  • Prior experience facilitating cross-functional projects with DC or operations leadership involvement.
  • Comfortable in leadership capacity during absence of direct management, and ability to make sound decisions with credibility.
