Job description

About the Position

We are looking for a strategic thinker and skilled relationship builder to help us spearhead the planning and execution of a range of campus recruiting initiatives to attract outstanding interns and full-time employees across multiple business areas. The ideal candidate will excel at cultivating productive relationships with universities and student organizations, enthusiastically engage potential candidates, and think critically about our strategy to build this talent pipeline.

This role sits on our Early Careers Partnerships & Initiatives (ECPI) team, which is part of our broader global Campus Recruiting team. Our ECPI team is a highly supportive, collaborative and inventive group that spans our New York, London, Singapore, and Hong Kong offices.

The ECPI team owns a wide range of work - building and maintaining partnerships across academic levels and fields, planning and attending recruiting events, responding to immediate hiring priorities, and developing new initiatives from the ground up. The scope of this role will evolve based on your strengths and interests, but you should expect to move fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution. On any given day, you might be shaping a new project's long-term direction and drafting the flyer to promote it, or digging into data to drive decision-making and confirming catering for an upcoming event. None of this happens in a silo - our best work comes from close collaboration with each other and teams across the firm. This will require finding solutions to big, interesting problems while also getting the little details right.

Like our Recruiting team at large, we believe that Jane Street's greatest assets are the people working around us. We love what we do, and perhaps more importantly, we love who we work with. This camaraderie fuels our passion for helping other teams at Jane Street find and hire great teammates of their own.

About You
  • Have 8+ years of campus recruiting experience; knowledge of the quantitative or tech recruiting landscape is a plus, but not a prerequisite
  • Energized by identifying ways to grow and improve our campus recruiting efforts and able to develop and follow through on a plan to get us there, with a flexible mindset and openness to competing viewpoints
  • Humble about what you know and don't know; not afraid to ask questions and admit mistakes
  • Strong team player; able to work effectively within and across various teams, and independently as appropriate
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and a no-job-too-small attitude
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent project and stakeholder management skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Skilled event planner; excited about global travel to coordinate and attend events
  • Curious about the operations of the firm and how recruiting fits into the bigger picture
  • Travel to recruiting conferences and events will be required for this position
