We’re looking for someone who:

  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members as opportunities arise.
  • Deliver comprehensive HR support to assigned ministries, including employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, performance management, policy interpretation, and compliance guidance.
  • Process and support payroll administration, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Review payroll changes, audits, earnings, deductions, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain and support HRIS and payroll systems, including employee data management, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Advise ministry leaders on wage and hour laws, timekeeping practices, and employment law compliance.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws and payroll regulations.
  • Develop, document, and improve HR and payroll processes to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
  • Partner with HR, Accounting, and Operations teams to support ministry needs and organizational goals.
  • Contribute to the growth and continuous improvement of Kingdom One’s HR service offerings.
  • Support organization-wide HR and payroll initiatives and projects.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Contribute to training, educational resources, and people-development initiatives.
  • Support recruiting, staffing, internship programs, and other talent-related efforts.
  • Participate in and lead process improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

Our ideal candidate:


  • 5–10 years of experience in payroll processing and Human Resources, with demonstrated HR & Payroll Generalist experience.
  • Experience supporting non-profit organizations, churches, ministries, camps, or schools preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll processing, payroll best practices, wage and hour laws, and employment regulations.
  • Experience administering and supporting Payroll and HRIS systems such as Paylocity, Paychex, Paycom, ADP, or similar platforms.
  • Solid understanding of core HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, employee records management, leave administration, compensation practices, and policy administration.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and ministry partnerships in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace (G-Suite).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or HR/payroll-related coursework preferred.
  • Alignment with Kingdom One’s mission, values, and faith-centered culture.
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time with occasional walking, standing, stooping, or bending.
  • May occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds.
