The Challenge (Job Summary)
This is a great opportunity for students who have majored in Biology, Neuroscience, Nursing, Psychology or other healthcare career related fields, but we will consider anyone who is pursuing a healthcare related career. Paid internship for College Seniors or Recent College Graduates!
Your Day to Day & Essential Functions:
  • Efficiently transcribe patient information
  • Able to document in EMR and willingness to do routine office work
  • Conduct phone conversations with patients, demonstrating excellent communication skills
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient interactions
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and collegial demeanor

What You Need to Succeed (Competencies, Education):
  • Quick and accurate typing skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the neurology field
  • Experiences preferred but not required
  • High school diploma
  • Currently enrolled in undergraduate education
  • Genuine interest in sciences and healthcare

Working Conditions, Physical & Mental Demands: This position works in an environment that is a combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. The office is well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space. There is the potential for exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to medical office setting. The ideal candidate must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. You must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies.
