Midtown Spine and Pain Clinic is the Triangle area’s elite pain management clinic. We offer a collaborative, comprehensive, and patient-centered approach to caring for patients who are living with pain. We offer non-surgical and interventional pain treatments for back pain, neck pain, and many other pain conditions. Using Image-guided spine intervention, which offers precise diagnostic capabilities, we are able to provide patients relief from their symptoms once and for all. In addition to our interventional approach to pain treatment, we spend quality time getting to know every patient that steps through the door. Our clinic is expanding into the Cary area! We seek a motivated and knowledgeable clinic manager to help oversee the daily operations of the clinic. In addition to managing our administrative and medical assistant staff in our current office, this individual will also play an integral role in our expansion efforts for the new clinic in Cary.

Job Summary:
The Clinic Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a pain management practice, ensuring efficient clinic flow, high-quality patient care, and a positive patient experience. This role provides direct supervision of medical assistants and radiology technicians while coordinating clinical and administrative functions to support providers and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Clinic Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day clinic operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
  • Support providers in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care 
  • Monitor and improve operational workflows to enhance performance and reduce delays 
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA) 
  • Maintain clinic readiness, including equipment, supplies, and exam room standards 
  • Assist in rooming patients and conducting patient intake. 
  • Responsible for staff adherence to lab protocols, including urine drug test orders. 
  • Assist clinical team with medication prior authorizations.
  • Assist in implementation of new clinical programs, procedures, and workflows specific to pain management. 
  • Provide support for medical supply ordering.
Staff Leadership & Management
  • Supervise, train, and support medical assistants and radiology technicians.  
  • Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for clinic operations. 
  • Provide coverage for clinical or administrative staff when there are gaps or staff shortages.  
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed 
  • Collaborate with management team for the hiring of new clinical staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, patient-centered team culture 
Patient Experience
  • Promote exceptional patient service and address patient concerns or complaints.  
  • Ensure a welcoming, professional, and compassionate environment for patients with acute and chronic pain.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field strongly  preferred, but will consider experience in lieu of degree
  • 3–5+ years of healthcare management experience, preferably in pain management, orthopedics, or a specialty clinic. 
  • Experience supervising clinical staff, particularly medical assistants  
  • Clinical experience as an MA/LPN/RN in a medical office or similar setting preferred. 
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to travel between both offices in North Raleigh and Cary.
